Top-down vs Bottom-up Approach
At the university, I was “amazed” at the professors delivering classes based purely on their theoretical knowledge and had nothing out of real life experience. I have never been a “top-down approach” supporter. I was interested to listen to people who knew business from the outside, usually from the bottom-up. I believed only in practice bringing knowledge.
Good Shape After Birth Giving
Having become a 24/7 mom of a baby boy, I was taken by two thoughts: how to get my slim body back and how to find time for doing that. The only sport I could combine with my baby’s schedule was walking with my baby in a stroller. All of a sudden a thought crossed my mind: “Why not do fitness while walking with my baby?”
New Discovery – Workout With a Stroller
While walking, I felt that pushing my baby’s stroller one or another way involved different muscles work. I could work out my arms, butt, legs and even abs just holding the stroller in different manners. It was amazing. Imagine that you can get a complete body workout and weight loss just on a way to a grocery store!
Strollnetics – Fitness With a Stroller
A good beginning is half the battle! We walked every day, my son having his daily nap while I was doing my newly developed fitness. I called it Strollnetics – a combination of walking with the baby stroller and callanetics exercises performed right on the go. My body became slim very fast; besides my wellbeing changed for better, I felt full of energy (in spite of the sleepless nights). I wanted to share my fitness discovery with every mom, as it was available at no extra time and cost nothing.
Walkingmama Website
I started my own project called Walkingmama – a website describing how moms can get fit any time they want, free of charge and staying with their kids. My site’s motto is: “It’s an every mom’s absolute right to get fit and sexy without spending time or money on it, while staying with a child. Get a stroller and start walking!” www.walkingmama.net I call it “a bottom-up approach”.
My site offers practical fitness for moms, and explains how one can benefit from walking with the stroller:
• weight loss for new moms,
• invisible fitness on the go – Strollnetics,
• fitness rollerblading with the stroller,
• dynamic meditation on the go.
Walking to My Success
My 5-year old son is a part of my achievements. Our kids inspire us and help us achieve the best results. I have a nice son, slim body, harmony in mind, and a successful website, helping new moms believe in their strength and giving them power to improve day after day, walk after walk…
